a little bit of this…

…and a little bit of that is how our last few weeks have passed. Although before I get into that I am not sure if I mentioned I’ve had the incredible honour of diving with dolphins twice now! I would say three times but the first time we were on the surface waiting for the boat to come and collect us and simply stuck our faces back in, so not technically diving then. The next two times however we were fully underwater. The first we were only a few metres away when three adults accompanied by two babies made their way past us. My underwater screaming drew the attention of the large male with them who turned to stare at me as if to say ‘what’s all the fuss about lady?’ YOU!! I would have screamed in response! YOU’RE TOTALLY MAGNIFICENT!! which he was. The second was on Thursday and a pod of twenty plus equally magnificent dolphins passed us by, the rest of the dive passing in a blur of underwater high fives and smiles. Diving is amazing enough and seeing these truly spectacular creatures is pretty mind blowing, I’m going to be smiling for a while yet whenever I think of them 🐬🐬

As well as the usual diving we’ve been over to Sanur on Bali for a quick and painless visit to the immigration office to have our fingerprints and photos taken to extend our visa for another month, our agent Azmir doing all the heavy lifting before we arrived. Any trip to Sanur includes a delightful visit to Hardys supermarket to stock up on necessities, essential and non essential alike, although who is to say how essential babybel really is. I’m overly fond of a supermarket visit no matter the country and Indonesia is no exception ☺️

We’ve also made a habit of stopping for a sushi lunch at Ryoshi which while delicious sadly did nothing to quench the junk food craving that has been growing steadily within me prompted by a friends mention of bargain buckets and a recent increase in my Kathy Reichs intake – she’s not peddling junk food by any means, the odd doughnut mention is however enough to spark my taste buds. I had plans of bringing back a KFC bucket but timing and a new found forgetfulness conspired against me, ah well we’ll be back over soon enough.

Time has come when I really need to knuckle down to the business of studying for my PADI IDC, having signed up with Sierra Madre Divers in Bohol they’ve sent me over a whole host of information to work through which I have been cataloguing and little else. With Ma visiting in a few weeks I really need to get to work but resistance has been strong. We’ve said goodbye to the lovely Fiona and the wonderful new PADI Divemaster Michelle after a month getting to know them; Jane, who we met diving in Gili Meno last year came to dive with us for a week and at the same time a mutual friend and his girlfriend stopped by, all providing plenty of distraction. Today however I have knocked out a little website for our landlord www.dMelSariLembongan.com  which has stretched the brain in all the right places getting me fully into position for a few weeks of heads down studying. Can’t wait to see how much information I can cram in before it explodes 😉

JHubz has been writing when he can, unannoyed by me and is still aiming to finish his book by year end, that’s stretched from September but what can I say, I am plenty annoying, adorably so 💕
